CEBU, Philippines - The Dark Green hoopsters overcame the Sugbo Customs Brokerage, 55-53, to stay undefeated after three starts in the Still Fighting Athletics Association (SFAA) Sinulog Cup basketball tournament at the Cebu Eastern College (CEC) gym.
In the other games, the SWAN-RTW Dealer led by skipper Ritzel Bamba spanked ZAON, 75-71, while TNT bombed out Red, 58-48, to join Sugbo Brokerage at second place with identical 3-1 win-loss records.
In the main match of a quadruple-header, the Yellow squad conquered the Warriors, 57-50, to snap out of its three-game losing slump.
Three Dark Green players cashed in double figures led by Rick Dayondon with 12 points followed by Ernie Batad and Bobby Emol with 10 markers apiece.
Bamba, on the other hand, exploded with 27 points on top of seven rebounds and five assists as ZAON barged into the win column after dropping three straight games, while Jaime Rodriguez topped TNT with 13 points.
