Bantayan’s lone entry Zalde Aroa, on the other hand, went too much for Sta.Cruz’s Jovert Alvarez in the other 54 kgs. bout, while Butuan’s Mark Bernaldez posted a 3-0 shutout of Batang Lacion’s Jocel Gestopa in the 60 kgs. bracket.
Cagayan de Oro’s Joseph Ebalang upended Jun-Jun Sultan of Zamboanga in the 54 kgs., while the Canillas siblings Ryan and Ryan Jade of Toledo City were not as lucky as they bowed to separate foes.
