Adlawan wins expert title in Osmeña motocross tilt
CEBU, Philippines - Jon-Jon Adlawan dit not let his home fans down as he topped the experts division in the 1st Mayor Tomas Osmeña Motocross Cup at the South Road Properties last Sunday.
Banking on homecourt advantage, Adlawan edged out Kimboy Pineda for the top spot. Pineda, however, got even with Adlawan in the pro open category.
Jubenile Abellar and Erwin Uypitching placed third and fourth, respectively, in both the expert and pro class. Ted Conde placed fifth in the pro class and Jovanni Abellar in the expert.
Kimboy Pineda also ruled the intermediate class, while Jubenile Abellar landed second followed by Ted Conde.
John Flores reigned supreme in the novice open production, while Bon Maruhom and Ryan Quirol occupied the next two spots.
Keiz BJ Racing Team top honcho Seigfred Ornopia remained unstoppable in the executive A, outsmarting Nonoy Reluya and Jun Enriquez.
One of Ornopia’s sons, Kerry Jean, took home the second place honors in the peewee class won by BJ Pepito. Vince Batolan wound up third.
Enriquez bounced back by lording it over in the veterans B class, with Ricky Coca and Andy Krickle taking the next two seats.
Donkey Sanchez emerged the fastest in local enduro, beating Bonnie Bustillo and Ray Querol.
Jesse Pineda ruled the beginners open production title, while the Dimaporos’ Uloy and Usama ended up second and third.
Junar Pamplona clinched the TK class title over Ading Dimaporo, while Butch Flores finished third.
