RCAF keeps clean slate in Abella caging

CEBU, Philippines - Team RCAF of Romeo Faunillan logged its fourth win in as many games after getting past the Vasquez-Mosqueda squad, 72-67, in the Norvic Abella Cup 2009 basketball tournament at the Labangon covered court.

 Jong Wilbur and Faunillan chalked up 14 points each for RCAF, which dictated the tempo of the match after posting a 39-31 advantage at halftime.

Alfroi Abella had 18 points followed by Joseph Vasquez with 11 for Vasquez-Mosqueda.

In the other game, the Daks Donggon-skippered DHAGZ stunned the Carletos, 93-89, to improve its win-loss record to 2-1. Carletos slipped to 2-2.

Elmer Alibawan and Dicksim Kintanar scattered 28 and 25 points, respectively, for DHAGZ, while Bulldog Dacuyan topscored for Carletos with 23 markers.
