CEBU, Philippines - Close to 250 players are taking part in the Alta Vista Golf and Country Club Christmas Fun Golf Classic, which tees off today at the club’s par-72 layout in Pardo, this city.
The tournament will run until Sunday, but participants will only be playing two rounds within the three-day period.

Other prizes for a hole-in-one are a residential lot from Santa Lucia Realty and Development Inc. on hole number 15, a Yamaha GMAX golf cart from Kilton motors on No. 13, a trip to Singapore from Marist Royal Travel and Tours on No. 15 and a Yamaha motorcycle from Norkis Trading on all par 3 holes.
There are still limited slots available for those who want to join. Entry fee for this event that offers a Skygo motorcycle for an eagle on all par-4 holes courtesy of Nito’s (Skygo) International, is P2,500. The amount is already inclusive of the mulligan.
Each player will be allowed an extra stroke for every nine holes on both rounds. Proceeds from the mulligan will all be donated to charitable institutions.
Taiyo Yuden (Phils.) Inc., Casino Filipino-Lahug, Casino Filipino-Mactan, the Gaite Arabians, Imperial Palace Hotel, and Petron are the Ruby sponsors.
This is an individual strokeplay tournament open exclusively to members of the club and guests of the sponsors.
