Hapee Online caging starts this pm

CEBU, Philippines - The Hapee Online Training Camp will kick off its Christmas League basketball tournament featuring 12 and 17-under categories today at the CEC gym.

The Cebu Eastern College (CEC) will parade new coach Jerry Jaranilla of Iloilo City as they go up against the Hapee Online Camp of coach Mark Tallo in the main game at 2:30 pm.

The Dragons are currently underdoing a massive buildup under the management of CEC Alumni led by legendary 3-point king Chester Cokaliong.

In the first game, the CEC 12-under squad mentored by Rex Salvaña with also field in a new lineup as they collide with the Philippine Christian Gospel School (PCGS) of coach Jason Velez.

The other competing teams in the month-long tilt are the Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC) and the University of the Visayas (UV)-Minglanilla Campus.

The tournament follows a single round robin format, with the top two teams slugging it out for the championship in a winner-take-all affair. (PR)   (FREEMAN NEWS)
