Alelu's Friends tame Cambiohan in Nangka Fiesta hoop
CEBU, Philippines - Alelu’s Friends sustained its sizzling run after hacking out a 67-57 victory over Cambiohan in the Christmas Basketball League 2009 in Brgy. Nangka, Consolacion, Cebu.
Lemuel Malagar had 15 points as Alelu’s Friends dictated the tempo of the match since taking an early 15-12 advantage.
From a 33-28 edge at halftime, Alelu’s Friends kept on pounding Cambiohan to pad its lead to eight after three quarters, 55-47.
Alelu’s Friends again neutralized Cambiohan’s offense in the windup to seal the double-digit triumph.
James Canono chipped in 13 markers for Alelu’s Friends, while Filam Bio and Iyo Sanchez added 11 popints apiece.
Wewe Tibon topped Cambiohan with 15 points followed by Honhon Maglasang with nine.
The event is strongly supported by Nangka Brgy. Capt. Rey Cataluña, with commisioner Hon. Neil Congson supervising the games.
