The University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Baby Jaguars repulsed a daring fourth-quarter comeback by the Sacred Heart School-Jesuit (SHS-J) Eagles to walk away with a 94-82 victory in the secondary match of the 9th Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) basketball season at the Cebu Coliseum.

In the other game, the Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC) Junior Greywolves nailed their first victory in seven games at the expense of the Cebu Eastern College (CEC) Dragons, 102-63, but the 39-point margin was the lowest among all Dragons conquerors.
The Baby Jaguars got off to a hot 28-15 start and then closed the first half with a 51-32 edge. They padded their lead to as much as 25 points, 72-47, and the best the Eagles could muster was to trim the deficit down to a dozen markers, 70-82, at the final 4:56 mark of the contest.
Clint Muñez bullied his defenders to topscore for the Baby Jaguars with 24 points. Gudeve Edo Autentico and Renzo Senining connived for 37 points as they improved their win-loss record to 3-4.
Adrian Marvin Ronald Muller paced the Eagles with 21 points. Kristoffer James Porter and Bradley Bacaltos netted 15 and 14 markers, respecively, but their efforts went for naught as they crashed to their second straight defeat after an impressive 4-0 start.
Earlier, Chris Daryl Yap posted a season-high 26 points for the Junior Greywolves.
Jerry Lin had a team-high 17 points for the Dragons, the first time that their player almost reach 20 points.It was also the first time that three Dragons finished in double figures, while their 63-point output is their highest of the season, so far.
