CEBU, Philippines - Experience and skills proved to be a perfect mix as Alvin Villa and Yoko Quillope ruled the Jack Leslie Ocañada Cup Open Doubles Darts Tournament at the Baseline Sports and Recreation Center .
Villa and Quillope, a Davaoeño now based in Cebu, went too much for Nilo Janson and Odong Pamatian.
Two other well-known local darters in William Encorporado and Alan Veloso landed third after a tough match against Jonathan Rubi and Arnel Guba.
Alvin ’s sister Anafe, who played alongside Junex Perez, came out fifth.
The sixth to eighth placers in this Jerome Perales of CDA Magic Team-organized event were Gil Arco and Rayden Colina, Engr. Wenie and Jun-Jun Ocañada, and Eugene Managuit and Arvic Recan.
Meanwhile, local darters take on another challenge with the staging of the 2nd Wowie Racines Cup Open Doubles Dartfest tomorrow also at Baseline.
Registration starts at 7 pm, while the game proper will commence an hour later. Entry fee is pegged at P50 only.
