CEBU, Philippines - More than a hundred riders are expected to showcase their skills in the fifth leg of the Underbone Rallycross Series 2009 this Sunday at the South Road Properties.
“We decided to hold the off-road racing at SRP because the venue bodes well for the riders who wanted to have another kind of racetrack,” said race director Edsel Odulio in a press conference the other day at the Family’s Choice Restaurant in Gaisano Country Mall.
Aside from Cebu, motorsport enthusiasts from Dipolog, Dumaguete and Bohol have already confirmed their participation.
Featuring the motocross and underbone races, among the categories to be contested are the
expert, novice, beginners, veteran, and special event.
Evvolve Marketing representative Rico Gonzales said they will be giving away cash prizes to the winners as well as trophies and PTT Lubricants products.
The champion in the expert division will pocket P5, 000. The top finisher in the novice and special event will take home P2,500 each, while the winner in the beginners division will get P2,000.
