Killer Bee to raffle off trip to Singapore F1 race

CEBU, Philippines - Want to watch the Formula-1 race in Singapore next month for free?

Go get your radio and tune in to 93.1 Killer Bee as it is offering a trip to the F-1 race to one lucky listener.

Officials of the radio station met the local media yesterday at Kul Kitchen in Capitol Site to discuss the mechanics of the Bee Travel Radio’s F-1 Night Race Promo.

Jerome Calatrava, the station manager said that they started the phone in promo last week and qualifies ten listeners each day from Monday to Friday to the grand raffle.

The raffle is set this Saturday night at the Loft inside Asiatown IT Park. The winner has to be at the venue to win the prize.

Aside from Cebu, the network’s FM station in Davao City is also holding a similar promo.

The trip to Singapore is set on September 25 to 27 and the winners will get free roundtrip airfare, hotel transfers, hotel accommodation, food and other incidental expenses like terminal fees and travel taxes, Calatrava said.

The winner will get a chance to see three days of racing starting with the practice session on the 25th followed by the qualifying on the 26th and the race itself on the 27th.

The promo is open to all listeners aged 18 years old and up with a valid passport that expires not earlier than March 2010.

To qualify, a listener must answer a Formula-1 trivia question.

Calatrava said that this is not the first time that they are taking a listener to a F-1 race as they did the same back in 2002.

Also present during the press conference were Dale Alcarez, the station’s sales director, and Shane Delfinado, the program director.

The race in Singapore is the only one in the F-1 circuit that is held at night. It was first held last year. –NLQ   (THE FREEMAN)
