Pier One Regains SHABA Lead

CEBU, Philippines - Pier One fended off Echo Appliance, 73-65, to regain the lead in the 14th Sacred Heart Alumni Basketball Association (SHABA) season at the old Sacred Heart School-Jesuit gym along General Maxilom Avenue, this city.

Pier One shot back to the top of the leaderboard with a 7-1 win-loss record, while Echo Appliance fell to third place with a 6-2 slate.

In the other games, Worldwide Steel crushed the Wildcats, 63-44, while Gaisano Capital whipped Island Paints, 61-54.

Dynast and Savers Home Depot-Transrover shared the fourth seat with 4-3 win-loss marks.

Ex-pro Joel Co made his presence felt after missing the first six games by churning out 18 points for Savers Home Depot/Transrover, while Edquila netted 22 markers.
