SWU collides with UC in 'Match of the Titans'

CEBU, Philippines - The Southwestern University (SWU) Cobras and the University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters will go up against each other in an exhibition match billed as "Match of the Titans" on July 12 at the Cebu Coliseum.

A pre-season game of the 9th Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) basketball season, the event is a fund-raising project of the UC College of Law for its free legal aid and bar operations this September in Manila.

Before the main attraction, there will be a preliminary game between the UC College of Law against its SWU counterpart. 

One of the most prominent UC alumnus is UC Law Students Society (UCLASS) president Kenneth Kern Sesante, the former skipper of the Webmasters.

   Sesante, son of the late police general Napoleon Sesante from Boljoon, placed second in the Customs Brokerage Licensure Examinations three years ago.

The goodwill activity is initiated by UC College of Law Dean Atty. Baldomero C. Estenzo, who himself was a popular varsity cager during his college years. (GGM) (THE FREEMAN)
