All set for STC Run

CEBU, Philippines – Everything is already in place for the Move with AIR (Awareness, Involvement and Responsibility)also known as the St.Theresa’s College Run on July 19 starting at the STC grounds along General Maxilom Avenue, this city.

STC, a school not only well known for providing high quality education but also for its community outreach activities, takes another way to communicate and have its message reached across in as many people possible through running.

Organized by the St.Theresa’s College Alumnae Association of Cebu (STAAC), the funds that will raised out of this event will be given to some beneficiaries including the Cebu City Medical Center Hospital, Medical Indigency project, college scholarship and student assistance program, livelihood project in basic dress-making, website and electronic chronicler project,and the happy child literary program among others.

With such a worthy cause, sponsors are starting to pour in such as Smart and Oakley, the co-presentor of the event in cooperation with Aboitiz Land, Sunstar, Fast Logistics, PCSO, Yayoy’s Grill and Resto Bar, Pilmico, Island Grill, Citygym and Julie’s Bakeshop.

Other interested companies and individuals who want to help in this noble endeavor are all welcome.

Held as part of STCAAC’s homecoming activities, the competition features the 5K, 3K and 300m race lengths.

There will also be categories for the STC alumnae and students, 3K kiddies open, while the 300m run is for STC kids age five to seven and eight to 10 years old.

Registration fee is pegged at P200. The STC students will only pay P85, while the kiddies entries will be assessed with P150.

The deadline for registration is on July 15. Entry forms are available at STC, the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC)-7 office located at the Cebu City Sports Center and at Athlete’s Foot in Ayala Center-Cebu. – THE FREEMAN
