CEBU, Philippines – The Green K2 led by Nestor Kyamko logged its second straight win at the expense of the Sunpride Sunny Hotdog-sponsored Team White, 98-87, in the Still Fighting Athletics Association (SFAA) basketball tournament at the CEC gym.
In the other matches, the Blue-Pitogo squad defeated the Maroon chargers team, 79-71, while the Black team sponsored by the AC Sports of team owner Archie Baba edged out the Yellow-Master Drug, 69-61.
Top center Jun Seno amassed 21 points and slippery guard Roger Tan added 20 points for Green K2.
Tata Detuya and Bebot Batad connived for 32 points for White, which suffered its first loss in two starts.
Blue, on the other hand, staged a crippling 32-19 rally in the windup to demolish Maroon.
Ben Pitogo unloaded 16 of his 25 points in the final period to help Blue’s cause.
Black, for its part, never looked back after recording a 17-point lead, 47-30, at the end of the third period. Michael Sumayang scattered a tournament-high 34 points for Black.
