Lao grabs silver medal in Hong Kong bowling

CEBU, Philippines - Cebuana Kimberly Mae Dominic Lao made sure she doesn’t go home empty-handed by winning a silver medal in the doubles competition of the 11th Asian Schools Championships at the Kong Bowling City in Kowloon Bay, Hong Kong.

Lao got the doubles silver with Dyan Arcel Coronacion. They posted a combined 2,657 pinfalls in the six-game series.

Korea ’s Kim Ji Yeon and Ui Jin Sim snatched the gold with 2,756 pinfalls.

Another Cebuana Marie Alexis Sy and partner Liza Andrea Vicente landed at 10th place overall, while Jomar Jumapao, who earlier claimed the singles gold during the opening day, and Kenneth Chua wound up seventh in the boys doubles. - Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (THE FREEMAN)
