Moto in Dipolog today

CEBU, Philippines – After Negros Oriental, the 2009 MS Motosuit Motocross Series goes out-of-town again with the 4th Hudyaka Zanorte Castrol Motocross Competition at the Zanorte Sports Complex in Dipolog City today.

This is the second out-of-town leg in the series and the second time for Dipolog to host the event. Today’s competition is the ninth in this year’s Motocross calendar of events.

Atty. Flint Concha assured the riders and fans that the contest in Dipolog would be much better than last year.

This may also be the chance that Irwin Uypitching has been waiting for.

Irwin Uypitching, stalwart of Dumaguete-based Team RUSI, champion in the expert and intermediate divisions could retain his title easily with the absence of his rivals.

Organizers said that Pepo Rubi (Quickflight Racing), Nonoy Reluya (NR), Jonas Adlawan and Jubal Abellar (PowerSport Racing and Motofix) and Seigfred Ornopia (Keiz BJ) will not compete.

There’s a bunch of new riders from other parts of the Visayas and Mindanao, however, that are ready to challenge Uypitching, thus he couldn’t afford to be complacent.

As an added bonus, Lou Ornopia is giving the riders a chance to show their stuff on TV as he is bringing his MS Motocross TV production team to cover the race.

Motocross races are shown over CCTN Channel 47 every Sunday at 9 pm. – THE FREEMAN
