Kuya Allan, Grandeur whack foes in FYA tilt
CEBU, Philippines – Team Kuya Allan spilled Aqua Serv Purified Water, 98-92, while Grandeur demolished Orillaville, 122-99, in the F. Llamas Youth Association (FYA) 1st Vice Mayor Mike Rama Cup the other day at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Gym in Brgy. Punta Princesa, this city.
Kuya Allan, thus, enjoyed the solo lead in the Light bracket with a 4-2 win-loss record.
Ranel Pataliata exploded with 32 points for Kuya Allan, while Kenneth Marqueda and Jokjok Canceko added 17 and 14 points, rspectively.
Aqua Serv, which fell to 3-3, was led by Tito Bacarisas with 29 points. Mikel Garica finished with 16 markers, while Janus Abellana added 15.
On the other hand, spitfire Dondon Cadugog hauled 22 points as Grandeur improved its win-loss record to 3-4.
Orillaville, which suffered its only second loss in seven starts, was led by the tandem of Jay Perez and Ryan Villaver with 60 points combined.
The FYA tilt is backed up by Punta Princesa Brgy. Capt. Rolly Diorico, barangay councilor Ray Gabriel Salgado and tournament director Boy Atillo.
