Yaw-Yan ArDigma fighters shine in Lapu-Lapu MMA and Kickboxing showdown

CEBU, Philippines - The Yaw-Yan ArDigma fighters of Master Benigno “Ekin” R. Caniga, Jr. emerged as the winningest contingent in the “Summer Kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts Spectacle” presented by Extreme Kickboxing Challenge recently at the Lapu-Lapu City Auditorium.

Danilo Tudtud and Tom Woodfin spearheaded Yaw-Yan ArDigma’s triumphant campaign as they both needed just one round to force their respective opponents to wave the white flag of surrender.  

Tudtud scored a smashing first round knockout of GAF’s Eleuterio Tapdasan in a special fight, while Woodfin prevailed over Durex’s Junrey Soquite by submission via rear naked choke in the opening round of their superfight.

The other Yaw-Yan ArDigma warriors who blared the victory trumpet were Jeff Malicay, Bon-Bon Llera, and Renan Noblefranca.

Malicay bested ATC’s Raymund Manasan by unanimous decision in their super bantamweight bout, Llera won by default over Edilberto Gumpay, Jr. of Charlie’s Angel KBC, while Noblefranca subdued Michael Gesta by unanimous verdict in a special match of the kickboxing event.

The other winners were Tesar Sarabosing of Yaw-Yan Zuma, Ronald Alinsug of ATC, Janjer Torbiso of Durex, Demetrio Torre of C-MAC, Ceneo Capanto of Arcomjukai, James Ruellis of Yaw-Yan Hurricane, Geronimo Etac of Yaw-Yan Temple, and Leo Gaerlan of Yaw-Yan Musang.

Sarabosing scored an impressive one-round stoppage of GAF’s Jovenal Sato in their pinweight battle, Alinsug terminated Romar Lambo of Yaw-Yan Temple in the second round of their light flyweight match, Torbiso pulled off a second round TKO of Jemuel Naigue of Arcomjukai in their bantamweight face-off, while De la Torre bested the stubborn Maxlito Yong of Yaw-Yan Musang by unanimous decision in their super bantamweight bout.

Capanto, on the other hand, needed just two rounds to defeat Daniel Galleon of Yaw-Yan Hurricane, but Ruellis made up from the loss of his teammte Galleon by eking out a split decision victory over Romilo Esfra of Arcomjukai under the light welterweight division.

Etac, for his part, outlasted Michael Gesta of C-MAC by unanimous decision, while Gaerlan came up with a second round TKO win over Topper Tampus of ATC in their light welterweight rumble.
