Gothong, Tiu sizzle in BTA monthly tilt

CEBU, Philippines – Jun-Jun Gothong topped the latest edition of the 2009 Bowlingplex Tenpin Association (BTA) monthly tournament at the Gaisano Bowlingplex the other day.

After ruling the February tilt, Gothong made it two titles in a row as he emerged the best in the month of March.

Clark Tiu, on the other hand, took the honors as April’s bowler of the month.

In the joint March-April finals, Tiu toppled 1,701 pins, while Gothong trailed with 1,678 pinfalls.

Clark’s brother Clarence wound up third with 1,645 pins followed by Jomar Jumapao with 1,642 and Xyrra Cabusas with 1,639.

Rounding up the top 10 finishers were Andrew Yap (1,635), William Lao (1,613), Wilbert Yu (1,580), Bede Illano (1,580), and Charly Michael (1,576). — Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (THE FREEMAN)
