Conor places third in MBL hoopla
CEBU, Philippines – The Conor Express Freight Forwarders of team owners Olive Paraguas and Elmer Hamis demolished Little Baguio Homeowner Association (LBHA), 73-58, to settle for third in the Mambaling Basketball League (MBL) summer tournament at the Ma. Gochan Sports Complex in Brgy. Mambaling, this city.
From a 17-all deadlock early on, Conor went on to take a slim 32-29 lead at halftime before pulling away, 49-39, heading into the final quarter.
High-leaping forward Carl Jacaba fired 22 points for Conor Express, while Jay-P Salem scored 20 followed by Ben Gascon with a dozen markers.
Dumar de Ramos led LBHA with 18 points, while Boy Muñoz, Rey Porral and Benjie Castillo connived for 35 points in a losing cause.
