Little Baguio edges Conor Express to sweep MBL elims

CEBU, Philippines – The Little Baguio Homeowners Association (LBHA) swept its elimination round assignments after it scored a cliff-hanging 46-45 victory over the Conor Express Freight Forwarders in last Thursday’s game of the ongoing Mambaling Basketball League (MBL) Junior Division at the Mambaling Sports Complex.

LBHA now totes a perfect 6-0 slate. Conor suffered its only loss in the tournament and has to settle for second seed in the standings with a 5-1 card.

LBHA trailed in the early going but clawed its way, inching closer within 33-39 in the final period. A decisive run in the last eight seconds capped by a jumper by Bern Castillo highlighted the come from behind victory.

Dumar de Ramos led the winners with 12 points. Van-Van Las Piñas, on the other hand, had 11 points for Conor, with teammate Ben Gascon chipping in 10 points.
