Ornopia, Sanchez shine in 4th leg of MS Motosuit moto-x series
CEBU, Philippines – Reigning “Rider of the Year” Seigfred Ornopia of Keiz BJ Racing Team and Donkey Sanchez bagged two titles each to lead the cast of winners during the fourth leg of the Castrol-backed 2009 MS Motosuit Motocross Series, which also serves as the 11th edition of the Ornopia Cup over the weekend in Brgy. Calambua, San Remigio north of Cebu.
Ornopia, brother of event organizer and MS Motosuit top honco Lou Ornpia, lorded it over in the beginners open production and in the executive A. He was trailed by Sanchez in the beginners open followed by Ayen Ledesma, Keith Galaura, and Ryan Querol.
Adonis Famador placed second in executive A, while the third to fifth spots were occupied by Aloy Igot, Nonoy Reluya, and Gener Sicad.
Sanchez barely missed a treble as he dominated the Novice Enduro and the local enduro categories. Ledesma finished second in the novice enduro followed by Banjo Monilar, Bonnie Bustillo, and Joseph Panulde. Bustillo landed at second in local enduro followed by Querol, and Dhong-Dhong Batiquin.
MS Motosuit image models Jon-Jon Adlawan and John Flores also caught part of the spotlight as well as Bornoc Mangusong.
Adlawan reigned supreme in the expert division, relegating Ted Conde to second place. The third to fifth were Ambo Yapparcon, Jovannie Abellar, and Pepo Rubi.
Flores motored his way to a championship finish in the novice open production. Ornopia wound up second followed by Igot, Querol, and RJ Con-Ui.
Mangusong, on the other hand, topped the pro open class, besting Paolo Inoc, Jubenile Abellar, Adlawan, and Yapparcon. Inoc though has something to brag about as he ruled the intermediate open, outclassing the likes of Conde, Abellar and Ambo and Weng Yapparcon.
Adonis Famador lorded it over in the executive B over Jun Enriquez, Reluya, Gener Sicad, and Joel Andrin, while the top five placers in the executive C were Butch Flores, Dan Gastador, Arvin Montejo, Gerry Sicad, and Felipe Montejor.
In the mini class 85, Rey Quirol emerged on top followed by Renato Mangosong, Estong Fajardo, and Brylle Ornopia.
Brylle Ornopia, however, showed some potentials of following in the footsteps of his dad by ruling the pewee division. Iñigo and Iñaki Diaz finished second and third, while Tom-Tom Largosa was fourth.
Iñaki Diaz did not go home empty-handed as he bagged the peweee 10-below crown. BJ Pepito wound up second followed by Anya Diaz, Kerry Ornopia, and Marian Yapparcon. The top three winners in the pewee 7-below were Joseph Enriquez, Venz Batulan, and Keizer Ornopia. – EBV (FREEMAN NEWS)
