Reception day
Having a cheat in your flight is one of the worst things that can happen to you in the game of golf.
Golfing great Bobby Jones, who once penalized himself for an infraction that nobody else saw said, “Being congratulated for what I did is like being praised for not robbing the bank.”
Enjoying the game includes playing by the rules.

I was at the grandstand of Camp Lapu-lapu, home of the Central Command of the Armed Forces of the Philippines yesterday afternoon to join other men and women in commemorating the day we officially became plebes in the PMA.
A good number of officers from the AFP and the PNP were present also former cadets, who were excited to take part in the athletic activity that marked the transition from being boys and later on girls starting with class 1997 to men and women.
The Army Dozen was performed by the brave souls, who took part in the event led by B. Gen. Jessie Dellosa, deputy commander of Centcom.
The PMA Cebu Squad Inc. hopes to make this an annual event and it seems to have gained a lot of interest from those who took part whether they did the exercises properly or in cadet terms were just ‘fooling.’
What was great about the activity was that it would not also encourage those who are not anymore in the military or the police to continue exercising, but it also allowed the ‘bugo-bugos’ to get together in a meaningful activity.

Aside from the 9th Island Tee of the Mactan Island Golf Club on April 23 to 26, another tournament is also set at the club on the 30th – the event organized by class 1984 of the University of the Philippines College Cebu High School.
This is a fund raising activity of the class, which will be celebrating their silver jubilee this year.
All alumni and Tunobers of UP High are encouraged to participate in the tournament.
I still have to get hold of the tickets that tournament organizer Jeffrey Gallenero, my mistah, will be asking me to help sell.
Those who would like to join the 9th Island Tee are also encouraged to contact MIGC for details and registration.
Retired Gen. Rodante S. Joya, general manager of MIGC, along with the members of the tournament committee are now very busy making sure that this will be a tournament to remember.
