Cobras gun for Partners' Cup

CEBU, Philippines – The Hotel Fortuna/SWU Cobras are out to wrap it up tonight against the Enervon/UC Webmasters in game 4 of their best-of-five series for the CESAFI Partner’s Cup at the Cebu Coliseum.

Game today:

(Cebu Coliseum)

6 pm Hotel Fortuna/SWU vs. Enervon/UC

With a 2-1 lead, the Cobras are raring to go for the clincher to savor their first ever Partner’s Cup title.

The Cobras cannot however take the Webmasters lightly, who are banking on Moncrief Rogado, Edward Pao and Kelvin Juliane to provide the offensive back up to 6-9 center June Mar Fajardo.

The Webmasters took the first game of the series, 99-89, before the Cobras bounced back on the second and third games to take the lead with 107-98 and 93-83 wins.

One thing that would tilt the odds against the Cobras would be the fact that they would play sans big man Clifford Maguate, who is injured.

The Cobras might also miss the services of off-guard Eleazar

Armecin as he suffered a bad fall in game 3.

However, they can still rely on Alfred Belande, Chris Litorja, Aard Diango,  Eliud Poligrates and Eric Zanoria. To serve as back ups are Rene Pacquaio, Ritchie Jalandoni, Gilbert Gallarde and Richard Gianchan. –THE FREEMAN
