Cebu Movers set up title clash vs. Stallions in GAA hoopla

-

CEBU, Philippines - The Cebu Movers System frittered away after taking a 25-point lead in the first half, but quickly regrouped in time to crush Evan Hulga Hardware, 75-64, and advance into the finals of the Guadalupe Athletic Association (GAA) 9th Founder’s Cup last Sunday at the Guadalupe Sports Complex.

The Movers of playing coach Dr. Boy Te, thus, set up a championship date with Pecus Stallions this Sunday. The Stallions outgunned 2171 Platoon, 79-69, to grab the other finals berth.

Vincent Reyes drilled in three triples of his topscoring 25 points as he came into the rescue for the Movers when Evan Hulga threatened to come back by as much three points late in the third.

Bebot Alquizola chipped in 12 points for Te’s chargers and Doming Leyson donated 10 markers.

Ex-USP Panther Lito Mabatid paced Evan Hulga with 24 points, while former Tribu Sugbo coaching staff Gaga Cabanilla added 10 points.
