There are so many stories to tell each time I go and cover the Philippine Airlines Interclub. There are stories of triumph and defeat. There are also those that are filled with so much drama that could even probably make good material for soap operas.
To those who are watching from afar, you might think that these are just a bunch of guys playing golf and having lots of fun.
But, from a closer point of view, you can see what the teams do to achieve their goals not only during the tournament, but even months before that.
After the smoke cleared let us savor the twin victories of Cebu country Club and Mactan island Golf Club and the outstanding performances of the two others – Alta Vista Golf and Country Club and Club Filipino Incorporada de Cebu. These feats actually make our job of covering the event worthwhile.
Gone are those days when we write of Cebu teams just struggling to make the grade in the annual event billed as the national club championships.
I guess the only thing that’s so hard to answer is the question: When is the PAL Interclub coming back to Cebu?

Last Saturday’s awards night at the ballroom of the Grand Regal Hotel in Davao was once again a blast.
I’ll soon publish some other pictures aside from those of the winners like CCG, MIGC, Charles Heng and my buddy Emir Abutazil.
I also have lots of pictures of the belly dancers, but there are kids reading, so wait for them on my Facebook page instead hehehe…
