USJ-R Jaguars spank Builders in Buanoy Open hoop
CEBU, Philippines - The Ave Maria Sanctuary Park/USJ-R Jaguars of team owner Raffy Senining spoiled the big night of Aldrin Ocañada by dumping the Construction Services Department (CSD) Builders, 118-107, at the start of the Buanoy Open Basketball Tournament in Brgy. Buanoy, Balamban, Cebu.
Ranulfo Malinao had 30 points, while Armand Ponce and Jabe Delfino connived with 43 markers for the Jaguars, enough to overpower the 38-point show by CSD’s Ocañada.
The Builders’ offense was crippled when its top playmaker Raul Redulosa already committed four fouls in the first period.
Sponsored by the Buanoy Sports Commission led by its chairman Beth Arnibal, the tournament follows a single round robin format, with only two of the six teams will be eliminated.
The champion will receive P50,000.
