CEBU, Philippines - The sixth edition of the Thirsty Football Festival, one of Cebu’s highly anticipated football events, will kick off today at the Cebu City Sports Center.
A total of 226 squads will vies for top honors in 14 divisions.
The age classification starts from the Players 6 up to the 40-above class.
As years go by, the annual event gets bigger and better with the entry of nine cities outside of Cebu Province. The out-of-towners include Tacloban, Tagbilaran, Bacolod, Cagayan De Oro, Dumaguete, Lanao del Norte, Manila, Tanjay and San Carlos City.
Like its previous stagings, the organizers guarantee an action-packed competition day after day including night games.
To beef up the three-day tilt, there will be a photo competition among the working photojournalists in Cebu. The champion will receive P10,000, while the second and third placers will take home P3,000 and P2,000, respectively.
