CEBU, Philippines – Mambaling prevented Guadalupe from nailing back-to-back victories by topping the Hipodromo leg of the Go Ching Hai Martina-M. Lhuillier Cup Inter-Barangay Dancesport and Hip-Hop Competition with two golds and five bronzes.
Guadalupe also had two golds, but settled for second place because of its fewer bronze medals.
Jason Milla and Katheren Palelio led Mambaling’s charge anew after reigning supreme in both the latin and modern standard junior division.
Guadalupe got its gold from Glaren Roi Saldua and Naditha Marie Manubag in the juvenile standard and latin action.
Pasil finished third with one gold and a silver followed by Buhisan with one gold.
Mark Orcullo and Christine Abellana produced Pasil’s gold in the youth open standard and a silver in the latin category dominated by Buhisan’s Jimmy Jabonero and Jackielyn Fuentes.
Tejero, Basak, San Nicolas and Labangon settled with a silver each, while Hipodromo managed only a bronze in the open class.
In the closed bronze division, Christian Talsi and Gay Omega ruled the juvenile latin, while John Repunte and Alanis Bancal lorded it over in the standard event.
Warren Tuico and Rochelle Diola emerged as the best pair in the latin junior, while Christian Suelto and Saharah Maga reigned supreme in the youth category. – Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (THE FREEMAN)
