Katsidis-Ramirez 'War' presscon today

Cebu - Expect word war to spark between Australian ring bomber Michael “The Great”” Katsidis and Argentine warrior Angel Hugo “El Tren” Ramirez as they meet eye-to-eye for the first time in the pre-fight news conference of the explosive “WAR” fight card at 11:00 this morning today at the Ballroom 2 of Cebu City Marriott Hotel.

Katsidis, who skippered Team Philippines in the Boxing World Cup two years ago in Sacramento, California, will collide with Ramirez in a 12-round rumble for the vacant WBO Asia-Pacific lightweight title topbilling another blockbuster show by highly-esteemed international matchmaker Sammy “Don King” Gello-ani this Saturday at the Cebu Coliseum.

Katsidis is seeking no less than redemption after back-to-back losses to Joel Casamayor and Julio Diaz last year. Prior to that, he narrowly beat Boholano braveheart Czar Amonsot in their bloody and brutal battle that almost ended the career of the two lion-hearted fighters.

Also set to grace today’s affair are the other main protagonists of the historic quadruple championship extravaganza bankrolled by SGG Sports Promotions in association with giant TV network ABS-CBN, RINGSTAR Promotions, and the city government of Cebu.
