MLSDF Selection wins, enters QF in Kinoguitan

Cebu - The M. Lhuillier Sports Development (MLSDF) and Titay’s Rosquillos backed-Team Cebu Selection entered the quarterfinals of the 4th Annual Kinoguitan Volleyball Open 2009 Fiesta Cup at the Municipal Gymnasium and Seawall in Brgy. Poblacion, Kinoguitan, Misamis Oriental.

Team Cebu walloped Team Butuan in two easy sets 25-8, 25-9. The team faces next two tough teams – Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine Navy – for a berth in the semifinals.

The selection will again rely on team captain Jonrey Sasing, Angellan Visoc, Joreem Yu, Dindo Dacaldacal, Clifford Café, James Ryan Rivera, Kennith Bensid, Edward Carlo Tecson and 1st Kinoguitan Open MVP, Roderick Arenasa together with playing Coach Norvie “Making” Labuga and assistant coach Dave Ariza.

Aside from trophies and medals, cash prizes await the winners. The champion will receive P45,000 and the second placer will be pocketing P25,000. The third and fourth placers will get P15,000 and P5,000, respectively.
