Cebu - The fourth season of biggest motocross series in southern Philippines, the MS Motosuit Motocross Series, unfolds this morning in Sitio Tuburan, Jubay, Liloan. This year’s opening salvo will be dubbed as the 8th Barangay Captain Manuel Wagas Motocross Cup.
It’s actually a back-to-back hosting for Liloan in the kick off leg.
At least 50 riders from all over Cebu and other areas in the Visayas and Mindanao are all raring to showcase their wares.
MS Motosuit big boss and event organizer Lou Ornopia looks forward to a good start because last year, it was raining hard that eventually forced them to shorten the race from two heats to only one as well as the number laps.
Aside from a whole day of exciting action at a newly-renovated racetrack, loyal followers of the extreme sport should also expect their favorite riders to race in a different category this time.
This as the top performers during the 2008 series led by “Rider of the Year” awardee Seigfred Ornopia of Keiz BJ Racing Team will compete in a higher, tougher class.
There are some riders though who are downgrading their respective level of competitiveness in the year-long contest co-presented by Castrol Philippines. —Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (THE FREEMAN)
