Medalle shines as Lola Carmen takes solo lead in LAYA caging

CEBU - Noel Medalle sparkled with 22 points as Lola Carmen Chicharon thrashed Maroon Saint, 87-75, to seize the solo lead in the Labangon Youth Association (LAYA) 1st Ritchie Osmeña Cup at the Labangon Sports Complex.

Lola Carmen now sits alone atop the leaderboard with a 4-1 win-loss record, just a full game ahead of the 3-1 Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Bureau (CIIB).

Medalle got an ample support from Gil Sasan and Michael Manubag with 14 points each even as two others cashed in 10 points apiece.

Maroon, which fell to 2-3, was led by Kikoy Mancera who fired 23 points.

In the other game, Trisha and Tracy salvaged a 78-63 victory over the Yellow squad behind the dazzling 30-point show by Jade Flores.

Mike Herenia and Eric dela Cerna had 129 points combined for Yellow.

The LAYA games are supervised by club president Robbie Ylanan.
