CEBU - The first two months of 2009 will be a busy one for the Bosconians and the rest of the football-loving Cebuanos with the staging of the Don Bosco Festival starting on January 10 at the Don Bosco College in Brgy. Punta Princesa, this city.
Don Bosco’s series of activities will start off with the futsal competition, which will be a week-long action.
Among the categories to be contested are the men’s open, 36-39 years old, 40-above, and the girls 17.
If schedule permits, the organizers will also include the boys 10 and 14 age classification.
If the renovation of Don Bosco’s football field will be done on time, a 9-aside competition for girls will take place.
After the 9-aside, there will be an 11-aside and 7-aside festival-type tournament.
“Hopefully we can finalize everything within this week. We have to get the consensus of all interested parties. There’s still another ongoing tournament so we have to adjust with our schedule if necessary,” says Don Bosco football coach Glenn Ramos. – Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (THE FREEMAN)
