Cebu Movers System now 3-0 in GAA

-

The Cebu Movers System of playing coach Dr. Boy Te pummeled Ramboys, 72-59, to stay unbeaten after three games in the Guadalupe Athletic Association (GAA) 9th Founders Cup basketball tournament at the Guadalupe Sports Complex.

Te had his jumpshots falling in and was a vital component when the Cebu Movers knocked the lights of Ramboys to carve a GAA record for the longest winning streak of 13 including a clean 10-0 sweep in the league’s previous tilt last summer.

As usual, Vincent “Inting” Reyes topped Cebu Movers’ scoring chart with 17 points. Edgar Labra tossed in 14 points, while Te and Domingo Leyson each had 12 markers underscoring their balanced offensive.

Te spearheaded a blistering 28-8 rally in the second period that catapulted the Cebu Movers to a commanding 41-23 advantage at halftime. They never looked back from there onwards.

Former SWU Cobra small forward Alvin Plaudin paced Ramboys with 26 points.

In the other games, AquaServ Drinking Water defeated the McMill Trading, 75-68, Team MELO skinned the Tigers, 75-67, and Pecus pinned down down 2171 Platoon, 65-62.
