CIIB extends win streak to three in LAYA
CEBU - The Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIB) survived the Gold team, 73-71, to extend its winning streak to three in the Labangon Youth Association (LAYA) 1st Ritchie Osmeña Cup at the Labangon Sports Complex.
In the other exciting duel, the MLS cagers fended off the hard-fighting Yellow squad also by two points, 71-69.
Joseph Bugtai scattered 20 points as CIIB fortified its hold of the overall lead with a clean 3-0 slate.
Viking Rollon and Bryan Antiporda both finished with 13 points for Gold.
Nelson Luague and Mark Enriquez, on the other hand, scored 18 and 16 points, respectively, for MLS. Their joint effort spoiled a dazzling 36-point show by Yellow scoring machine Gladys Mantilla.
LAYA is under the leadership of Robbie Ylanan, with Police Supt. George Ylanan and Mark Ylanan acting as advisers.
