Ms Motosuit Moto-X 13th Leg: Uypitching upstages Aguilar
CEBU - For the first time in nine legs he had been racing in the 2008 MS Motosuit Motocross Series, Glenn Aguilar faltered in the pro action, paving the way for the gutsy Irwin-Ramas Uypitching to reign supreme in the 13th leg of the annual series dubbed as the “Keiz BJ Cup” last Sunday in Caduawan,Tabogon.
Aguilar though bounced back in the expert class, the category he decided not to finish during the 12th leg in Consolacion.
The multi-titled Aguilar was leading the battle after the first heat, but a mechanical trouble in the second heat caused him misfortune.
As Aguilar got up from the mishap, he outmaneuvered one after the other, but could no longer caught up with Uypitching, who already established a very comfortable lead.
Aguilar settled for second place followed by Pepo Rubi, who just got back from Cabanatuan.
Unlucky in the pro class, Aguilar was unstoppable in ruling the experts division. Rubi placed second while Uypitching came in third.
Aguilar’s son, McLean, again made his dad proud by posting back-to-back victories in the mini-65 cc action.
McLean outsmarted Brylle Ornopia for the top spot anew as Tom-tom Narcosa wound up third.
Brylle’s dad, Seigfred Ornopia, was not only a gracious host, but also a tenacious competitor on the way to a double championship in the executive A and B. The executive C was won by Felipe Montejo.
Like Ornopia, Ryan Quirol and Donkey Sanchez also nailed twin victories. Quirol topped the novice open enduro and open production, while Sanchez dominated novice open enduro and local enduro classes.
Wensor Pamorca snatched the intermediate title, while Clark Wagas and Weng Yapparcon ended up second and third, respectively. (THE FREEMAN)
