RemEMBER edge out Flores Cousins
CEBU - Team RemEMBER of Consolacion Vice Mayor Ember V. Alinsug overcame a tough challenge put up by the Flores Cousins to eke out a 98-93 victory in their basketball exhibition match recently at the Consolacion Sports Complex.
It was the first defeat of the Flores Cousins after posting back-to-back wins the past two weeks.
Team RemEMBER, which is also backed up by former FEU star and Poblacion Oriental barangay councilor Paul Alelu Q. Flores, had to toil hard in the endgame to fend off the hard-fighting Flores Cousins.
Their goodwill encounter was among the highlights of the Consolacion Fiesta Cup Inter-Barangay Basketball League and served as preliminary of a benefit game for the family of the late Daryl Smith.
