Larrazabal, Mancao run in Chicago today

CEBU – Celebrated Cebuano running doctors Yong Larrazabal and Peter Mancao are inching slowly to their goal of running in all major marathons in the world as they take another big challenge in today’s Bank of America Chicago Marathon.

Larrazabal and Mancao will be among the 45,000 runners who answer the starting gun in this year’s edition.

Last year, Larrazabal and Mancao joined the New York Marathon together. After their experience in New York, they decided to run together in all the other major marathons in the world including that of London, Berlin, Boston, and of course, Chicago.

The duo had also participated in Standard Chartered Hong Kong marathon early this year. Aside from running in international events, both Larrazabal and Mancao had also joined several local running races despite their hectic schedule as practicing doctors.

Running had become a form of stress-reliever for the two Cebuanos aside from keeping them fit to serve as many patients as possible. After finishing this marathon, the doctors vowed to keep on running just like Forrest Gump who keeps on running. – THE FREEMAN
