Kidneycare notches third straight victory

Kidneycare got off to a slow start but slowly gained confidence in the second quarter where it staged a tide-turning rally to take a 43-38 advantage at halftime behind the deadly one-two punch of ex-UC center Joshua Alguno and former UV Lancers star Rene Toring.

Still no signs of stiff opposition from its younger rivals, Kindeycare further put the game beyond reach with a 19-point edge, 76-57, entering the final quarter.

The DES Marketing cagers tried to make up a last ditch rally but their efforts went futile despite outscoring Kidneycare in the fourth period, 31-22.

Alguno paced Kidneycare with 25 points followed by Toring with 16 markers. Defensive gem Bogs Panique unloaded all his10 points in the first quarter as they kept the solo lead with an immaculate 3-0 record.

Emeril Marquez had 20 points followed by Edgar Sumalinog with 18 for DES Marketing, which remained winless in three starts.
