Sally Mae returns to Malaysia tennis circuit

-

CEBU - Decorated netter Sally Mae Siso will be the lone entry from the Visayas for the Malaysian tennis circuit scheduled later this year as three other Cebuanos were bumped off at the close of the 2008 Milo National Junior Tennis Tournament at the San Beda College (SBC) in Manila.

Siso will be representing the country in the girls 14-under category after winning all her assignments.

Siso’s last opponent Pailou Mojica was no match to her, forcing an early stoppage after she won the first set, 6-0.

Fritz Satera missed a slot to Malaysia after losing to Deo Talatayod in the boys 14-under final.

Siso, a student of the University of San Carlos-South Campus, and Talatayod will be joined in their Malaysia sojourn by Ericka Lagura and Escares (12-under), and Jed Olivarez (10-under).

The result of the recent Malaysia qualifying event is a complete opposite of last year’s outing wherein all but one RP representatives came from Cebu.—Caecent No-ot Magsumbol(THE FREEMAN)
