Siso off to strong start in Milo tennis tourney

-

CEBU – Multi-awarded Cebuana netter Sally Mae Siso posted an easy win at the start of the Milo National junior Tennis Tournament, a qualifying event for the Malaysia circuit, yesterday at San Beda in Alabang.

Siso clobbered Mindanao’s Lynet Palason, 6-1, 6-0 in the girls 14-under. She will face next Manila’s Patricia Orteza.

Christopher Encarnacion, for his part, is now out of contention after losing two of his assignments in the 10-under class.

Fritz Satera and Adrian Parangan are still waiting for their turn on the court as of this writing.

Jana Pages, supposedly Visayas’ representative in the girls 12-under, begged off from the competition. Jana’s dad John Pages told The Freeman that they decided not to push through with their trip to Manila as her daughter is too young to play in the girls 12-under. Jana is only nine years old. — Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (FREEMAN NEWS)
