Danao City bike race off today at city hall

CEBU – Close to P40,000 in prizes await the top performers of the 2008 Danao City Road and Mountainbike Competition this Sunday starting at the city hall.

Over 100 pedal-pushers are set to battle in both the racer and mountainbike event.

The road race will have four classes:A, B, C and D.

Entries in class A and B will take the Danao-Ilihan-Danao route, while participants in the two other classes will pass through the Danao-Lugo-Danao course.

The top 10 winners in class A and B will get cash prizes as well as the top three finishers in C and D.

On the other hand, the mountainbike contest is divided into five categories:open, juniors, seniors, masters A and B.

The competitors will be dealing both the flat and technical route.

The top three winners will take home cash prizes.
