Gracie Barra Jiu-Jitsu opens at I.T. Park

Cebu’s mixed martial artists get a chance to hone their skills with the opening yesterday of a Gracie Barra jiu-jitsu school at I.T. Park, Lahug, this city.

Alvin Aguilar, a pioneer of the University Reality Combat Championship, attended the blessing of the school along with school manager Norman Go. After the ceremony, Aguilar proceeded to conduct a jiu-jitsu seminar.

The school, at the fourth floor of CJRS Building, offers jiu-jitsu classes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 8-10 a.m. Those who prefer afternoon or evening schedules may want to take the classes at Baseline Sports and Recreational Center every Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Sundays from 6 to 8 p.m.

Meanwhile, Cebuano fighters led by Cary “The Prince” Bullos are gearing up for the next URCC-Cebu action on October 4 at either Waterfront Hotel in Lahug or in Lapu-Lapu City.
