Friday Club drubs LWCM
The Castle Peak Hotel-sponsored Friday Club defeated the Living Word Christian Ministry (LWCM) Aces, 64-51, in the Barkadahan Hoops at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.
With its stifling defense in place, Friday Club held off the LWCM Aces to a measly four points in the second period to register an imposing 19-point advantage at halftime, 34-15.
John Lloyd “Jimbo” Noel paced Friday Club with 22 points followed by Benedict Chua with 16 markers.
Friday Club evened its win-loss record to 2-2 to occupy the fourth spot in a six-team field that also features the Rama Boys of Cebu City Vice Mayor Michael Rama, which broke a four-game skid with a 60-55 drubbing of Sunday Club.
In the other game, the Mandaue Jaycees handed the Monday Club its first loss in four games, 57-50, They now have similar 3-1 win-loss cards.
