The M. Lhuillier Sports Development Foundation (MLSDF) stalwarts of coach Eddie B. Ybañez annexed their dominance to the southern portion of the province as they trounced the Alcoy Selection, 104-83, in their goodwill encounter on Sunday night at the Alcoy Sports Complex.
With their guns blazing from the start, the MLSDF mainstays mercilessly pounded Alcoy’s hometown bets to open an early 27-14 edge.
MLSDF kept its sizzling offensive in the second period where it scored a dazed Alcoy side, 27-16, to mount a commanding 24-point edge at the intermission, 54-30.
MLSDF further wobbled Alcoy by padding its lead to a mind-bobbling 27 points, 87-50, entering the final 10 minutes of the contest.
So huge the points piled up by MLSDF that Alcoy couldn’t get any closer than 20 points the rest of the way.
The event was part of MLSDF’s outreach development program aimed at harnessing skills of aspiring hoopsters in Cebu up to the grassroots level.
