Bacolod hosts CSG golf  tilt today at CCC

Police Chief Supt. Ireno Bacolod, chief of the Civil Security Group will host the CSG Director’s Cup Golf classic today at the Cebu Country Club.

This tournament is by invitation only.  Set to participate will be officials of the CSG, the Police Regional Office-7, the host club, and the Cebu Pistol and Rifle Association.

According to Fausto ‘Titing’ Gamallo, who is helping put this event together, the tournament will use the System-36 handicapping format.

In this format, players will each get a handicap of 36 at the start of the round and would earn corresponding points after each hole is played.

A par or better is worth two points, bogey is one, and double-bogey is zero.  The total points earned at the end of the round will be deducted from the original handicap of 36 to determine the player’s System-36 handicap for that particular game.

Prizes at stake will be trophies for the players with the lowest gross, lowest net, and the top three of three handicap categories.

A gun is up for grabs as hole-in-one prize on all par-3 holes.

There will also be prizes for nearest the pin on hole number 5 and most accurate drive on the par-4 hole number 1.—NLQ
