Trailing by a matchstick, 86-87, in the final 27 seconds, Cyber Knights’ Dondon Nuñez calmly sank in his pressure-packed charities off a foul by Chris Victor Diputado with only four ticks left that turned out to be the game-clincher.
Nuñez, who scored 11 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter, was responsible for the Cyber Knights’ big turnaround in the windup. JC Ver Paraguya and Joel Vistal ably backed him up with 15 and 14 points, respectively.
The Lancers, who missed the services of Ritchum Dennison and Phil Mercader, was led by Gregory Slaughter with 21 points. Junjun Lasala added 14 points while Harold Cincoflores scored 12. Diputado and Harlow Chad Villanil had 11 points each for the Lancers.
