Cebu Movers make it 6-0 in GAA caging
The Cebu Movers of playing coach Boy Te drained Aqua Serv, 75-65, to extend its winning streak to six games in a row in the 9th Guadalupe Athletic Association (GAA) Founder’s Cup basketball tournament at the Guadalupe Sports Complex.
The threesome efforts of Vincent Reyes, Edgar Labra and Flordie Lodonia quashed out any attempt by the Aqua Serv to at least fight squarely as they rallied Cebu Movers to a commanding 62-45 advantage entering the final 10-minute zone of the contest.
Reyes had 20 points, while Labra and Lodonia connived for 23 markers as Cebu Movers tightened its grip of the overall lead with an immaculate 6-0 slate.
Jeffrey Diola paced Aqua Serv with 16 points followed by Botsky Aniñon with 13.
In the other games, AC Sports of Archie Baba defeated the PECUS, 75-67, G&S scored a 78-75 upset of McMill Enterprises, 78-75, while Evan Hulga Hardware Corp. demolished Pan Borikat, 91-77.
